Hello friends
Do you ever feel like you’re surrounded by too much stuff and you’ll scream if you have to make another decision?
Many years ago I read The Paradox of Choice by US psychologist Barry Schwartz, which suggested too many choices leads to unhappiness, and that limiting options reduces stress, anxiety and feelings of overwhelm. I like to think I did a pretty good job of keeping things simple when I was single. I tried to only buy what I needed and where I could, choose multi-use products that were good for the planet.
But then I fell pregnant and life happened. So much stuff was “needed” for a baby. Add to that doting grandparents generously sending books, toys and clothing at every opportunity, a husband with hoarding habits and all the decisions that come with running a home. It was getting overwhelming!
That’s why I loved these 5 Simple Hacks to Declutter Your Life and Ditch the Overwhelm from Small Steps Living. Since I started I’ve been on a roll… de-cluttered the books and toys, pared down our wardrobes and finally sorted and given away all the baby things I’ve been storing for a maybe baby…
What a relief! I feel like I’m coming out of a fog. Next I want to clear some space in the stock cupboard and you can help. Use your VIP coupon code in the online shop before 31 May and I’ll pop an extra balm in with your order for free.
Clearing out physical and mental space to allow for some new energy… I don’t know what it will look like, but change is coming, and I’m excited for the future!
Lisa.
